Clay Tablets

Yesterday we made clay tablets to represent the Ten Commandments that were given to Moses on Mt. Sinai. We are finishing up the study in Exodus this week. We have studied the ten plagues, the exodus out of Egypt, wandering in the wilderness, the tabernacle, and the ten commandments, etc.

This is the clay tablet of the ten commandments. It has the Hebrew number for each commandment.

This represents the clay tablets that were shattered when Moses threw them down with anger due to the wickedness of the Israelites while he had gone to meet with God on Mt. Sinai for forty days and forty nights. The children had fun throwing this one down and breaking it up!

Their clay tablets!
