Nilla Praline Cheesecake

We were finally able to meet back at our church yesterday for worship. We have been out of our building for at least 3 months due to Hurricane Gustav. It had a substantial amount of damage and Cedarcrest Baptist Church graciously allowed us to share their facilities until our building was repaired enough for us to return. (Thank You Cedarcrest!) We meet in our fellowship hall area for worship this week. Hopefully, we will be able to be back in our sanctuary next Sunday.
Every Sunday night we stay after worship for a fellowship meal. Everyone brings dishes, sides, and desserts to contribute to the meal. This is something we have missed since we have been out of our building. I didn't realize how much the fellowship with the brethren meant to me until we were not able to stay for our meal after the hurricane. (Not to mention taking care of Mammaw and rotating church...I truly love the people at our church. They are very dear to me.) All that to say, we were able to have our fellowship meal time last night. Since it was our first meal back together, I decided to make a cheesecake for the occasion. Here's how it is done below: Crushing vanilla wafers for the crust.

Press the crust in your pan and line vanilla wafers around your pan for accent.

Ingredients for the cheesecake mixture.

Mixing the cream cheese, sugar, eggs, vanilla, and sour cream together.

Ready for the oven.

YUMMY!
