Star Wars Birthday Party

Saturday evening we went to a birthday party for our friends, Miriam and Luke. Their mom, Candi, planned a Star Wars party for them. Once again, she went out of her way and it was a great success. The kids had a great time. There were lots children and adults at the party. (Probably more children than adults really!) Can you imagine that?

Here are some of the cupcakes that spelled out "Star Wars". It was hard to get a great picture because of the angle you had to get to take it.

Number "3" and "6" for Miriam who turned 3 and Luke who turned 6.

Darth Vader (life size) was in the corner by the cupcakes!

Some of the food.

More food.

You'll notice all of the Stars Wars stuff for decorations!

Even more food!

I told you there was a lot of people and a lot of people need a lot of food!!

Emma with some of Miriam aka Princess Leia's jewelry.

Some of the kids playing.
People at the party.

More people at the party.

Even more people!

Some of Craig's family with Candi's dad.

Some grown-ups playing on the swing set!
Yes, that swing is made and was bought on purpose for the adults.
Lighting of the candles and getting ready to sing, Happy Birthday.

Miriam blowing out her candle while Luke is working hard at getting ready.

Luke blowing out his candle.

Some of the boys!

Waiting for a cupcake!

This was Craig's shirt!

One of the dad's with the Darth Vader mask on. His comment was that this was Darth Vader on vacation!

Ready for the candy out of the Darth Vader pinata!
Emma got to be the first to swing!

Miriam trying really hard to bust it.

Abram didn't waste any time. He was the first to knock a hole in it. A little candy came out and those kids are like vultures!! It is gone before you can blink. Several others had a chance to go before all the candy got knocked out. This was a lot of fun watching the expression of each child as they longed to be the one to empty the pinata.
Thanks Candi and Craig for a great party. Once again, we had a great time and enjoyed spending time with everyone. Can't wait for the next one in a month or so. I wonder what the theme will be for that one. Let's see that will be for Levi's 2nd birthday and Micah's 1st birthday. Hum....there's no telling when it comes to Candi but I can assure you that the theme has already been picked and things have already been ordered or are on order.
