These are pictures taken after our ed-zoo-cation program at our local zoo.

Her first trip to the zoo!

It took me a few minutes to get this monkey to look at me. For the longest time, he had his back to me.

This otter just got out of the water and posed for his picture.
Feel the fur and see if you know what animal it is from.
More walking
Rob took the day off and spent the day with us.
These are the same type of turtles that laid eggs in our yard. Still don't know their name. There was not zoo keeper around to ask.
See this goose. It bit several of the children's fingers.
Cai was first but I didn't think to get a picture of him crying.
This is why the goose bit their fingers. This is the place you can buy food and feed the fish, turtles and geese.
We only made it through half of the zoo because it started raining on us after this picture. I put my camera away so it wouldn't get wet. We were going to picnic at the zoo, play in the play area, walk through the other half of the zoo and ride the train but we decided not to take a chance with anymore rain. There was a high chance of more showers so we opted to leave the zoo and go to Las Palmas for lunch instead. Candi and her kids, Tiany, Troy, and their kids along with our family went for Mexican. It was fun and the food was great. I called ahead of time and they had the table for 21 ready for us when we arrived.

Do you think they are painted turtles?
And the albino peacock - how cool is that!
Love the pictures. My favorite is the sea otter. What a great pose!
Ha ha...you actually got a pic of that peacock!! Have I told you lately how amazing your camera is?? Or is it the photographer?
