6 weeks and counting...

Today marks the 6 week mark to my due date with little boy Shelby. I decided I would start a countdown and have a post each week until he arrives letting you know of any progress or happenings.
As of today, there is not any real news. I am feeling pretty good except that I stay really tired. He seems to be pressing down on my pelvic bone which is causing a little discomfort. I have some swelling in my feet and ankles which has occurred in a couple of my other pregnancies however it doesn't seem to be quite as bad as the others.
I will go see my midwife next week and I will have the Group B Strep test done and then start my weekly visits. This test has always been negative and I pray that it continues that way.
We have no names for our little man as of yet so feel free to share some cool name ideas that may go with our family. Here are the names of our children: Cade, Ian, Tate, Cai, Abram, Emma, and Sarah.
BTW, Emma ask me almost daily if she can go with me to get her baby brother out. This is so funny because none of the boys have been like this with my pregnancies. She is ready to hold him so I told her she can hold him when he comes out. She says OK and gives a big smile. I think she is going to be a good helper!

Maybe you need to name him Caleb. That is a great boy name:)

That is so funny - because I was going to say Caleb also!

How exciting - a new baby!

I remember that pressure all too well. I'm sure you know about it way more than I though!

Believe it or not...I don't recall having this pressure pain with any of the others. Doesn't mean that I didn't have it. I do find the more children I have the more this I notice and feel during pregnancy. Braxton Hicks start a lot earlier and are much stronger than the first few babies. In fact the day I had my last child, I thought I was just having Braxton Hicks all day. Needless to say, my water broke at church and I had her within 30 minutes after I got to the hospital. Can't wait for our new arrival.

BTW, I don’t think we can use Caleb because it has sounds that are too close to Cade. We already have difficulties with Cade and Tate wondering who we are speaking to.

It is always nice when you start to count down!! I had pelvic pressure with Ryan(oldest) and it was because he weighed 9 lbs!!!!

I think the name Logan would fit nicely.

Logan gets my vote. I've got one of those and he is so sweet! My next boy name was either going to be Ruston or Zachary. We are stuck on city or parish names. BTW there is Logansport, La in case you were wondering....

Awwww! That sweet little Emma! Hope your swelling stays at a minimum and that your strep test is negative. As far as names go...I like Seth and Jared (my boys' names). I also like Luke and Noah.

Nick didn't seem to like it as much as I do, but I'm voting for Asa. Not sure why? But it keeps coming to mind when I think of new baby Shelby. Can't wait to meet him!

Can't believe it's almost here. I can't wait to meet this little guy. And I can't wait to see if he DOES look like Owen. (ha ha) My vote is for Jude. Don't ask me why, I just like it.
