Our Saturday ~ Part 1

This past Saturday we were invited to a friend's house from church to swim, fish, and grill. Mr. Gaspar graciously opened his home to our family so the kids could swim in his pool and fish in the lake behind his house. The kids were so excited. Our friends, Amy and Chad, were invited as well and his daughter and her family came over to play with the kids.

Emma in the floaty. She did not stay in the water long at all. Little Ella floating in the water Mr. Gaspar and Chad trying to get a catfish off the line.Ian swimming...I mean playing in the hot tub. The hot tub is part of the pool. When the jets are not on, it works as a little pool. This is what Emma did most of the time. She played with bubbles. Tate Cade Cai blowing bubbles while in the "little pool". Ian helping Mr. Chad while Cade is watching. Ian caught a fish but I missed it. I didn't know until after the fact so I didn't get a picture of him with his fish. Abram and CaiCade fishing with Tate and Ian beside him. Emma sitting with Amy while Ella's hanging out in the water. Ian and Cade Mr. Gaspar grilling our delicious burgers and hot dogs. Some of my boys hanging out with some of Mr. Gaspar's grandchildren. Tate caught a fish. There's Tate's fish.It was too small to keep so Tate is going to throw it back. Rob watching (maybe learning {grin}) Mr. Gaspar while chatting. Some of the kids eating

The kids are standing under the umbrella while they wait for the afternoon shower to pass. Can you see the raindrops hitting the water in the pool?
The kids wanted Mr. Gaspar to turn on the jets and the hot water so they could experience the hot tub so he did. It didn't last too long because they said it was too hot but he kept the jets going.
Ella and Sarah
Playing with a bubble bottle
Tate floating in a floaty. He is too big for that and he can swim too.
Rob fishing
Sarah's turn to float but not for long because she didn't like the water.
They made the raft into a boat!
Not really sure about this!!
Mr. Gaspar, Rob, and Chad out talking and fishing.
Everyone had a great time. Thanks Mr. Gaspar for the fun in the sun. We had to leave in the mid-afternoon in order to get our kids down for a "little" nap because we had a birthday party to be at that evening. Those pics will be part 2!
