Cajun Corn Maze ~ Part1

Yesterday we went to the Cajun Corn Maze with our home school group. It was a lot of fun and they had lots for the kids to do while we were there. We got there for 10 am and didn't leave until 2:30 pm. There are so many pictures that I broke this field trip into 5 parts.

This is what the maze looks like from the sky if you were flying over it. They have two different mazes. One is a haunted maze which is only open on the weekends starting at dusk.

Today they had the maze open for homeschoolers only!Walking through the maze They had decision spots throughout the maze. The parents were given question sheets to ask the kids in order to know which way to go when you got to these points. After point 3, there was this sign in case you wanted to finish the maze sooner. We took the long route:)Ian, Emma, and Abram Sarah and Kaylee This man was standing in the middle of the field with a bull horn. He used it to tell the kids to stop running, announce if a child was lost, or let you know if you were going the wrong way. Can you see Candi taking picture of me taking a picture? Luke, Quint, Ian, Tate, and J.D. Some of the little girls walking See the man waving at us Tate found an ear of cornThis was one of the "corn cops" stationed throughout the maze. We were toward the end of the maze and ready to get out so we asked if we were going the wrong way. He looked at us as if he wasn't supposed to tell us which way. Mrs. Gina told him that he better tell us which way or we would leave a bunch of crying little ones with him! He told us the way;) They had a couple of these little tractors when you came out of the maze by a concession stand. Cai wanted ride it! They had a big covered area with picnic tables for us to eat our lunch. They had a hen house set up by the picnic area with singing chickens....and a singing squirrel! The next few posts will include a cow train, pig races, playing, and posed pictures. Oh, they even gave us samples of the new Kleinpeter Ice Cream while we were there. (Twice!!)
