Preparing for Friends

We are preparing for a visit from some very good friends.  We haven’t seen them in 3 years so we are very excited.  Nick and Nikki along with their 5 children are coming to stay with us for several days.  The last time we saw them was when we went to stay with them and visit D.C.  It was a lot of fun.  I’ve had 3 children and she has had 2 children during those 3 years.

I can’t wait to meet Matthew and Andrew in person.  Looking forward to seeing my girls, Claire and Abby, and to see Little Sam’s smiling face.  Of course, Little Sam is not so little any more.  We will have 13 children ages 10 and under in our house for several days and we are so excited.  Can’t wait to watch the children playing together once again.

Their family is moving to a neighboring state which means they will only be a few hours away from us as opposed to 19 hours away.  We’re hoping that will lead to more visits and getting to see each other more often than a three year period.  They are starting their journey today and will be at our house tomorrow evening.  After they leave us, they will be heading to their new home and city.

I’m going to try and keep up with my 365 post along with doing the posts I would like to get done but if I’m not able then you will know why.  Just letting you know what is going on around here!

Your right! She had Matthew right before they moved because I went over there in the middle of the night to stay with kids while she went to the hospital. Forgot all about that one:)

Wow, with all those kids it sounds similar to the age in which I grew up. It's nice that you have so many children. Have a wonderful time.

There were 11 children in my family and the neighbor behind us, a lawyer and his wife, had twelve; and 2 of our family's best friends had 7 and 6. So there were always kids at our home. When we moved out west my brother's friend, an only child, adopted us.

My daughter actually is friends with two little girls that have 6, and is very fun for her.
