A Christmas Tea

Thursday night I hosted a Christmas Tea for some home school moms and teenaged daughters in our area.  It was a lot of fun.  We had a good turn out.  There were 18 of us all together.  Everyone brought finger foods and/or desserts to share.  Here is just a glimpse of all the delicious food that was there.  There was so much that it hardly looked touched when it was over.  Everything was delicious!!

Getting food and fellowshipping.  I love the one with all of the girls around the table talking with each other.

After a time of food, we moved into the living room to play an ornament exchange game.  This was so much fun.  Everyone had a great time.  There were several ornaments that kept getting taken and swapped around.

The last two pictures are the group shots.  The first one is of the mommies with Asa and the second one was of the daughters.

We had a great time and look forward to doing this again in the future.  I ended up with a lovely ornament that matches my tree just perfectly.  I try to schedule these periodically to give the moms a chance to get to talk to one another more than we are able when we are at a field trip watching our little ones.  This was the first time I did one with teenage daughters maybe because I don’t have one of those yet.  However, I think it was a good thing and will include them again.

What a great idea! I would love to do that with moms and daughters (teenagers or not). Did the teens do an exchange too?
