This is what happens when…

a large family goes to get their teeth clean.

Six of my children had their teeth cleaned and exams in one hour!  Yes, that’s very fast but our pediatric dentist is very family friendly.  They have one open area with 3 stations so they must have reserved the entire office for us during our time slots.  Usually they do 2 at a time but today there was at least one of my children in each of their rooms.

This was Emma’s first time to get her teeth cleaned.  She was watching her brothers while waiting for her turn.

Here’s Emma getting ready for her turn.  Can you tell she is not very sure of whether or not she’s happy about this?

She was the worst child so far.  She started crying loudly and would not lay down on the table.  She wanted no part with the machinery in her mouth.  They brushed her teeth with her new pink princess toothbrush while she sat up on the chair.  We finally convinced her to let them put water in her mouth and let her suck it out with the vacuum straw herself.  After little corporation, I took her out of this private room and had a mother/daughter talk so she went back in and let them finish the cleaning:)

Here’s Emma letting the dentist exam her teeth.  She was fine once the cleaning was done.  She loved her bag of goodies (new toothbrush, floss, toothpaste, and stickers).

We love our dentist and appreciate his willingness to fit us all in at one time.

We take over our little dentist office when we come in too. But my little one... she got UPSET when they WOULDN'T clean her teeth. She has to be like the big kids! So they cleaned them real quick for her LOL

Neat. I remember family visits like that. My parents use to take us to the college.
