Construction Update ~ Wk 15

Once again, no pictures for this week.  There was less work done this week than the last week.

Remember last week that I mentioned we hit a road block.  There is a plan and we should move forward this week.  We had every inspector in our parish, their boss, the plan reviewer, and an engineer at our house looking over our situation.  They did say that every thing was done properly and looked good but there was an issue with a little sag in our garage door opening. (Remember, we had already jacked it up and reinforced it with more support!)  The inspectors didn’t think it was going to sag anymore but they wanted us to reinforce it more before they would give us approval.  We will be reinforcing the support with a steel beam over the existing support this week costing us more time and money. 

Once this issue is resolved, everything should move forward once again.  Rob has the insulation almost finished so the sheet rock will be the next step.  Also, Cade did some more painting in the shop so it just needs detail work.
