Expositor’s Conference 2010

Theme for 2010:  The Glory of God in Preaching

Last week, Rob and I left to go to the Expositor’s Conference at Christ Fellowship Baptist Church in Mobile, AL.  This year the speakers (preachers) were Dr. Steven Lawson and Dr. R.C. Sproul.  Dr. Lawson and his church are the ones who put on the conference each year along with a guest speaker.

Rob is one of the pastors at our church.  Pastor Dale and Mrs. Pat (from our church) also came to the conference.  We met each other at a Mexican restaurant in Gulfport, MS on our way to the conference.  It was a great lunch but I do love Mexican!

The church showed us great Southern hospitality.  The volunteers were diligent at taking care of everyone’s needs, providing food, etc.  You won’t go hungry for sure at this conference.  They provide all of the meals which included dinner and dessert Monday night, breakfast, lunch, dinner along with two breaks with food on Tuesday.

They had the fellowship hall where we ate nicely decorated with lovely fall decor.

This is the group shot with all of the pastors along with Dr. Lawson and Dr. Sproul.  There were pastors from over 25 different states along with some from other countries as well.

Looking forward to next year’s conference with guest speaker, Dr. Albert Mohler.  Hopefully, we’ll be able to go again.  This was the 4th year of the conference.  Rob went to the first two years but didn’t make it last year since Asa was born.  Last year was the first year that it was opened to the pastors’ wives as well.

Rob and I enjoyed our time together along with the preaching of God’s Word.  Thankful for faithful pastors such as Dr. Lawson and Dr. Sproul for preaching truth boldly and unashamedly.
