From Rob’s pastor this morning:
Pastor Rob had a busy day yesterday. He had a swallowing test which had good results. He also had a therapist work with his hands. He still doesn’t have significant feeling in his hands although he has good movement in his arms. He enjoyed the visitors he received. I’ve updated the Trinity Baptist website with the link for donations of cash or food as well as a link to Amy Shelby’s blog.
Some prayer requests:
· The primary issue right now is respiratory. He is still on oxygen. As long as his respiratory issues persist he won’t be able to move to the rehab hospital. Pray that God would improve his lung function so that he can be moved.
· He is still very restless and uncomfortable at night which keeps him from sleeping and consequently keeps Amy from sleeping. Pray that God will help him rest at night.
· Please continue to pray for God’s grace in Pastor Rob’s recuperation.
· Continue to pray for their children during this time of stress and for those caring for them. And pray for Amy as she shares this time of affliction with her husband.
Psalm 18:31-33 NAU - "For who is God, but the LORD? And who is a rock, except our God, 32 The God who girds me with strength And makes my way blameless? 33 He makes my feet like hinds' feet, And sets me upon my high places."
From Amy today: The option that we picked for the rehab hospital is no longer an option because of Rob’s respiratory issues. Please pray that we make a good decision with the other options at hand. We want to do what's best for Rob, our family, and our church ministry. Thank you!
Amy was able to attend her church’s ladies’ Bible study tonight while their pastor stayed with Rob.
