Barn Hill Preserve

I wasn't able to go on this field trip because I needed to stay home with Rob that day.  It was too far away for me to leave him at home.  Thanks Candi for taking 7 of my children and doing this post for me!!!

On Friday, July 19th, we visited Barn Hill Preserve for a field trip.  First we started off meeting some of the animals that they have there.

Voodoo, the wolf pup

Everyone got a chance to pet him.

You could tell he was a pup because he was teething on everything.

Next up was a cockatoo named Andrew who liked to play Lazarus. The handler told him he was dead and then he played dead. Then he would resurrect him.

Luke and Candi think this was a baby rhea but they reminded her of the little dinosaurs in the opening scene of Jurassic Park 2.

After all the demos and tours were over, for an additional cost we were able to take a picture with either the kangaroo joey or the wolf pup.
