In Loving Memory of Rob's Grandmother

As you know, we moved Rob's grandmother in to our home so that we could take care of her during her last days back on November 1st, 2008. We had a great time with her these precious days that our Father gave us. She probably did more reading to our children these last few weeks than she had in a long time. They enjoyed having her in our home.
Today a little after 5 pm she went to meet the Lord. Cade and I were with her during her final hour of suffering and life. The Lord has blessed me with spending the last hours of my grandmother and Rob's grandmother in the week and a half. She was a dear lady and I treasure the time that the Lord granted me with her in our home.
I will leave you with the scripture passage that she wanted read at her funeral. Thank you to all of my friends and church family who have prayed for us during this time.
Don't you know? Haven't you heard? The eternal God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, doesn't grow tired or become weary. His understanding is beyond reach.
He gives strength to those who grow tired and increases the strength of those who are weak.
Even young people grow tired and become weary, and young men will stumble and fall.
Yet, the strength of those who wait with hope in the LORD will be renewed. They will soar on wings like eagles. They will run and won't become weary. They will walk and won't grow tired.
Isaiah 40:28-31

I think I needed to be reminded of that verse...even though it's my favorite verse...I haven't actually thought about the words of it in a long time. Thanks "MaMaw Shelby" for reminding me that my strength should be in the Lord...no wonder I'm so tired!
