“Syrup”licious

P2150528

Grandma’s Maple Syrup

From Dining on a Dime Cookbook

1 cup brown sugar, packed

1/4 tsp. maple flavoring (vanilla may be substituted)***

1/2 cup water

Stir ingredients together.  Bring to a boil.   Simmer for 2-3 minutes, and cool.  Pour into a serving container.  Makes 1 cup.

***I use vanilla flavoring in mine because Rob is allergic to maple.  I usually double it so I will have enough for two mornings.

This syrup is really delicious.  You should try it.  Great for pancakes and waffles.
