This week the patio was almost completely finished. The only thing it’s missing is the ridge caps on the roof, painting, and the new lighting. We will be doing all of the painting so that we can save money. That also means that it will take longer to finish as well since Rob will have to find time or take off work to get it done.
This is my favorite part! I absolutely love the patio area. Just thought I would share this with those of you who didn’t know that already :)
We added 625 sq. feet of covered area to the patio.
We got a “little” plumbing done. They came out to do the rough in for the house addition but it wasn’t completed.
The sheetrock was hung in the shop. It still needs to be taped and floated.
We had some AC work done. It is not complete either. They were running the new duct work and unit for the house addition. That’s all I’ll say about the AC work. (Some of you already know the full story and I think it’s better if don’t share it here!)
Our windows that had to be ordered made it in this week. They were supposed be installed too but the rain kept that from happening. Hopefully, the weather will clear up and they can be installed on Monday.
Our garage has become a storage place for supplies!
This is one of the new lights that are replacing the two fans from the original covered area right out our back door. We took the two fans down to put on the patio on the back of the shop and replaced them with these. We will be hanging four fans in the new covered patio area with four directional lights on the four corners of the patio area. This will provide lighting into different areas of the yard.
The bricklayers were supposed to start but that was delayed due to all of the rain we have had the past several days. They are supposed to start on Wednesday but I suspect that the other days of rain will delay the bricklaying another week.

Uh oh.I don't think I'll ask about the a/c problem, but I hope all is worked out and okay. Looks like a lot got done even with all the rain we have had.
Maybe you could throw a barbecue and get everyone to paint, sort of like a barn raising. Or is it really high?
My favorite is that big porch also! Many great times and memories will be made there!
