I haven’t had much to blog about lately. Of course, I’m finely getting over my nausea and sleepies. Still hits me occasionally but not as often as the everyday ritual. I’m very thankful for that!
We’ve always got construction stuff to do around here…painting, flooring, cleaning, etc. The boys are always helping Daddy with something in the house or in the yard. It’s been really busy but the boys have learned a lot during this process.
I went to a Ladies Tea for homeschooling mommies and teenage daughters this past week. It was fun and the food was yummy. I know I didn’t do a post on it because I didn’t take any pictures. I actually had my camera with me but didn’t get it out this time. I just enjoyed the evening camera free.
We finished school at the end of July for the school year. The month of August was our break and we plan to start our new school year this week. It will be a crazy week but hopefully some school work will be done. Rob is off for Labor day which works out good for him because it gives him some extra time to labor around the house. Not sure if we will start school Monday or not since the boys tend to work with Daddy when he’s off. Tuesday, I’m taking Tate and Ian to the eye doctor for check-ups and an eye exam. It’s time for Tate’s check-up and Ian is going for the first time. I’m thinking we might end up with another one in glasses. Besides those two days, we should be able to get some school work in for a start.
My mom, aunt, and uncle came in town this weekend for a visit. We had a great time and hated to see them go but they had to get back for work. While they were here, we had a birthday party for Asa (a few days early). I’ll post about that later. Let me just say that he demolished his little cake!
However, September is proving to be a very full month. We have doctors appointments, a field trip, Rob’s mom probably moving in this month, and Rob and I are going to the Expositor’s Conference in Mobile, Alabama at the end of the month. My mom is coming down to stay with the kids so I can go with him. This will be the first time that we’ve gone somewhere without the kids in years. This doesn’t count all of the work that has to get done on the house in the mean time. Like I said, it’s going to be a full month!
Not sure how much blogging I will be doing but it seems to have slowed down a bit any way due the fact I’m trying to keep up with priorities. I do have a few things to post about this week so I hope I am able to get to them but remember it’s going to be a busy week. As changes occur around our house, I’m not sure how things are going to go and may need time for adjustments so I will keep in touch as I’m able. Just wanted to say hello and let you know what’s been going on around here since it’s mostly been construction and Wordless Wednesday post.
