I’ve broken this post into several posts due to the fact I haven’t had much time to blog. Shorter post are faster for me so I will do each one as time allows. We’ve been busy and it’s not stopping yet. We have our church’s Fourth of July Picnic (all day event) at our house next week on the 4th so we are preparing for that this week.
Several weekends ago, we had our annual VBS at our church, Trinity Baptist Church. We do ours differently than most churches. Instead of a Monday thru Friday VBS, we have ours on Friday evening, most of the day Saturday, and end during Sunday School on Sunday morning. We love it and it allows for our men to teach the classes.
I was in charge of the kitchen again this year. My friend, Candi, graciously agreed to help me out. We have the largest room to decorate but it’s a lot of fun. My aunt’s students make most of our decorations then we fill in with other things or extras. Thanks Aunt Pat!!!!
Our theme this year was Hidden Treasure aka Things Hidden from children desiring God VBS materials.
Here are some of our decorations:
Here is our “Treasure Island”. Ian made my “x” marks the spot and Candi made the island.
Ask, and it will be given to
you; seek, and you will find;
knock, and it will be opened to
you. For everyone who asks
receives, and the one who
seeks finds, and to the one
who knocks it will be opened.
Matthew 7: 7-8

Looks like it was a good time!
Your aunts art class always does a good job. Candi did well also!
