Wednesday, Rob took Cade, Ian, and Tate kayaking down the New River. They were so excited that they were going to each have their own kayak instead of a canoe.
Getting ready to start their 6.5 mile journey.
While Rob was gone with the older boys, I decided to take my crew for a walk down the steep driveway and down our road to see the cows in the pasture. It was a 2 mile walk to the stop sign and then back 2 miles to the cabin. (I didn’t know this until Rob told me later!)
Asa just wanted to stay on the little bridge and throw rocks into the creek.
Abram helped prod Asa along the whole way.
My girls offering me their beautiful wildflowers.

Needless to say, I got my exercise for the day. Once we got back to our driveway, Asa decided he wasn’t going to bulge. He just sat down at the end of the driveway and waited. (Just so you know, we were at the end of the road and there was no one else around besides nature.)
I carried Isaac up the driveway and dropped him off into the pack-n-play while I headed back for Asa. Down the driveway and back again carrying an extra 27 lbs up with me. Yes, I was tired!!!
It was time for lunch so I feed Isaac and fixed lunch for the rest of us. As we were finishing, Rob and the boys made it back to eat too.
After lunch, we headed out to one of the New River State Parks so the kids could play in the river for a while.
Asa didn’t really want to get in the water. Eventually, I carried him in and he stayed with me for a while until he got more comfortable.
