Trusting!

This morning I went in for my first appointment to see my midwife and ultrasound.  Normally, it is a day of joy but today there was tears.  When they did the ultrasound, they found an empty sac instead of a 9 1/2 week old baby.  This means that our little one stopped growing and died very early.  My body still thinks that it is pregnant.  The sac is still growing, my pregnancy hormones are still there, along with pregnancy symptoms.  Now, we wait for my body to do what it needs to do at the right time.

Though it brought a day(s) of mourning, I still trust in the Lord and know that this is for His glory.  His plan is far better than my plans for He sees the big picture and created all things.  Thank you Lord Jesus for being my strength and high tower!

And he said, “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked shall return.  The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away, blessed be the name of the Lord.”  Job 1:21

Amy - my heart was so heavy for you and Rob and the kids all day yesterday. I even dreamed about you last night. I'm praying for the Lord to comfort and strengthen you and to grant you peace. And I'm thankful for your testimony on this blog of God's continued faithfulness in the midst difficult circumstances and sorrow. Much love,
Nikki

Amy - I'm so sorry to read this. My heart just ached for you when I saw this. You have been on my heart all day.

Dear Lord. This sweet family has given their hearts and trust to you. I pray you will bring them comfort and heal Amy as she recovers. Bring healing to their family as they mourn the loss of their wee one who is now with you. You are amazing. I pray she clings to you in the coming days."

Love you Amy! Hugs~Cinnamon
