Camping Trip ~ Day 3

This was our last day camping.  This is when we take down the tents and load everything up to go home.  Just a few pictures from this day because it is always really busy.

There was a chance of rain during the night and a good bit of this day.  We survived the night without rain but it kept looking like it might rain all morning.

Here is Asa playing in our tent while were packing up our stuff, deflating mattresses, and such.  He was having a blast!

Here is Rob with Tate and Cade folding up one of their tents.  We had all of the tents down and put away along with most of our stuff before breakfast.  This was record time for us since we are usually one of the last ones to have our stuff put away due to the age of our children and amount of stuff it takes for our size family!

The last day of camping usually ends with lunch with Pastor Dale and Mrs. Pat.  This is something we’ve been doing since we started camping with the church.  Pastor Dale will grill all of the wieners for hot dogs and we sit together for our last camping meal.  After lunch, we load up and head home only this time it was a little different.

Since we finished our packing up early, our family went walking together around the park while we waited for lunch.  As we were pretty far away from our site, it started lightly raining on us.  We hurried back for lunch.  Pastor Dale was grilling when we got back in the light rain.  As we fixed the kids plates and sat down to eat, it started pouring on us.  This made for a hurried lunch.  All of us were soaking wet as we are jumping into our vehicles to leave.  Made for an interesting ending to our lovely camping trip…don’t you think.

That’s why I didn’t have many pictures of Day 3 because I didn’t want to have the camera out in the bad weather.  Oh well, we had a great time and look forward to our next camping trip in the fall.

Ok, I’m done for now.  No more camping pictures:)  Hope you have a great weekend!

Your camping trips ALWAYS look like so much fun!!!

Wish we lived closer, and you could add 12 more people to your trip...that would be awesome!
Thinking you you so often, hope the building is going well.

PS, happy 7 mo to Asa ;)
