Rob Update 7/9

From his pastor this morning:  After a rough day yesterday Pastor Rob is doing somewhat better today and says he feels strong enough to receive visitors. He was able to sleep off and on during the night and his distress of needing to cough has subsided. Amy was able to get a little sleep, still needing to get up often to help Rob. Her fold-out bed in the room is much more comfortable than her chair in intensive care. He was able to see a few of his kids yesterday—an emotional reunion. Thank you for your continued prayers.

From Amy this morning:  Rob was able to get a little sleep last night. He is doing better this morning but still having issues with stuff in his lungs. He's having trouble getting and staying comfortable in his bed. Pray that the Lord would be merciful to him and grant him more comfort. His attitude is great and knows our great God is working this out for His purposes and for His glory! Btw, he said visitors would be fine today

From Amy this evening:  Good report: Rob's had a really good day. Physical therapy went well. His breathing is getting better. They did a swallow test today to make sure he wasn't having issues with food going down the wrong pipe. He passed it and said everything look good. We enjoyed visiting with everyone who came to see us today. Once again, thank you for all of your prayers. Keep them coming:)

He had some physical therapy to work with his hands today.  When my husband Craig visited today, he said that Rob was trying to shake anyone’s hand that walked into the room.  I also know that he had a swallow study done today as well.

These milestones are amazing!! How encouraging to see God healing him more and more each day.

Soo happy the children got to see their Daddy, even if it was an emotional time....I'm sure it was simply beautiful to experience all that love.

Amy~ I am praying for you as well. So glad you got into a bed and you're sleeping better. Praise God from whom all blessing flow....even for a pillow :-)

Love your precious family!

Hello I first want to say that I am praying earnestly for Robbie's full healing and for your entire family during this time.
I was very good friends with Robbie during high school. We went to First United Methodist together.
I didn't know what Robbie ended up doing with his life or where he went so I was shocked to find him through a Facebook post asking for prayers for a pastor and his family. After the initial shock of hearing about what had happen I then laughed at the fact that it really wasn't a surprise that he had become a pastor. The part that I really laughed at was this only child having 9 children and 1 on the way. I am so happy that he had the Lord a loving wife and a house full of children.
Please tell Robbie that Tammy Wick says hello and that I will be praying for him daily.

In Christ,
Tammy Wick Sweat
